ICE PRINCE'S INTERVIEW AREME: can you please introduces yourself.(your full name and your stage name) ICE PRINCE: first of all i am Panshak Zamani by government name but they call me Ice Prince on stage and in studio AREME: Background (Family and education) ICE PRINCE: I m from Jos and both parents are natives of plateau state. i am a n only boy in a family of three and I am the second. did my nursery, primary and secondary. AREME: What influenced your choice of doing rap? ICE PRINCE: my choice of rap was influenced by my environment. if ure familiar with Jos u'd know that it is a very hip-hop environment and just being around that environment influenced my style. AREME: How have you been able to manage your music career? ICE PRINCE: well it’s been quite interesting and blissful. yes there is the stress and all but it’s just like how life is,, its normal AREME: For how long have you been in the music industry? ICE PRINCE: I would say I’ve been the industry for as long as i can remember. Started writing raps around 98... Then i would write over popular hiphop beats and all... AREME: You have, since your storm into the Nigerian music industry, accumulated various awards. Can we have a rundown of these awards and how do you feel getting the award. ICE PRINCE: i actually haven’t received that much award because im still fresh on that professional level but i won hennessyartistry nig 2009 and also i was nominated most promising artiste at the dynamix all youth award 2009.

AREME: What did it feel like signing your first autograph for a fan? ICE PRINCE: well it is always a great feeling and esp. for that first time, it is always like wowwww!!!! to just realise the fact that people get ecstatic when they see you and to see that u impact in their life’s in allot ways... it’s a great feeling AREME: How do you keep in touch with your fans around Nigeria and outside its shores? ICE PRINCE: i keep in touch with my fans on Facebook and on twitter esp. twitter though coz i do that every day so follow me on www.twitter.com/iceprincezamani and there u'll catch up with me faster. AREME: What specific decisions have you made in your life that you would have regretted if you didn’t take them? ICE PRINCE: on a very honest note, i don’t remember any of such decisions. AREME: which label are you under and how as your relationship been with the member? ICE PRINCE: i am signed to chocolate and we have more like a family type relationship in that organisation. i am blessed to have these people around me. AREME: In two words, what exactly is the message behind your songs? ICE PRINCE: life's good AREME: How do you feel when you listen to you own songs? ICE PRINCE: i feel good to know that i can actually be that creative sometimes and plus listening to myself teaches me to get better AREME: Who inspires you, beside those in the music industry? ICE PRINCE: i draw inspiration from God, my late father, my best friend dad, Mr. Audu Maikori.... yea AREME: If you were not doing music right now, what’s another thing do you think you might be doing? ICE PRINCE: i would have been a business man. i actually love the buying and selling process AREME: How do you sum the impact of your music so far? ICE PRINCE: in just a few words i would say 'it’s been heavy' AREME: what do you have to say about the music industry in Nigeria? ICE PRINCE: the Nigerian music industry is truly a blessing to Nigeria as a nation and the rate at which it keeps growing is just completely amazing. It’s big and it’s gonna keep getting bigger. AREME: What plans do you have with regards to giving back to God and the society that gave you these much? ICE PRINCE: i intend to make my music and clean and positive as it can be and i also intend to give back to the society in terms of charity, the plan is in progress.
