Eva Longoria in tears over divorce

Eva Longoria wants to burst into tears whenever she thinks about her divorce.

The American actress split from basketball star Tony Parker last year, following allegations he had been texting a family friend inappropriate messages for many months. They had been married since 2007 and were seemingly happy together, so the break-up came as a shock.

Their divorce was finalised in January, and Eva has now spoken about the split from the first time. She is still struggling to come to terms with the end of the union and says the thought of what went wrong makes her emotional.

"It's been - every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It's been hard. Very hard," she told Allure magazine. "I'm just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama."Areme-007.blogspot.com

Eva is now thought to be dating Penélope Cruz's younger brother Eduardo, but is still getting used to the new rhythm of her life. Tony plays for the San Antonio Spurs and Eva would go to see him in action on the court whenever possible. Now they are no longer together she has been searching for other ways to fill her time.

"I'm in a transition stage, settling into a new routine, and I welcome it," she explained.

"It's hard for me to censor myself, because I like to be honest and free and say exactly what I'm thinking or feeling."

The 36-year-old said her many female friends have helped her through the ordeal. Having close women pals means a great deal to the actress, who says she "collects amazing, smart, interesting women" to bring into her life.

For now Eva is focusing on her career. She is renowned for her portrayal of self-centred Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives and hopes to continue pleasing her fans with the roles she takes on.

"If I'm going to be in the band, I'm going to be the drum major. I love to be a part of everything, and I also like to be the best at what I do," she said.
