New footage has been released featuring interviews and scenes from the final Harry Potter film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II brings the Harry Potter film series - based on the hugely popular JK Rowling books - to a conclusion.

The footage released today contains new interviews with the cast and crew of the final film.

"Something's gotta give. Harry is aware that this is it, that the flood gates are open and that he is the one that is going to have to deal with Voldemort," says Potter's Daniel Radcliffe.

"Your heart's going to race ... it's a really intense ending," says Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in the series.

It will be the last time Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Watson will unite in a Potter film, and producer David Heyman said it was a sad time for the entire cast and crew.

"A few tears were shed," he told USA Today. "A few of us gave speeches - Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry, the director David Yates and myself.

"It was very moving. We all talked about how it's like being part of a family. It was very intimate and lovely."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II is set for release on July 14
